CJ Finnical, Wellness Consultant
In a family of six, CJ Finnical was the quiet one. The great observer and listener who marched to the beat of her own drum, “albeit softly.”
She’s not so quiet anymore.
“I’ve always been inquisitive,” she said. “Wanting to understand why things are the way they are, and not wanting to simply take things at face value.”
That curiosity has always lived alongside a desire to serve. From emergency medicine to the Air Force to respiratory therapy, CJ spent years helping people and asking questions.
Entrepreneurship gave her even more room to question. Running her own landscaping business introduced her to building something on her own terms. Later, wellness coaching became the bridge between that independence and her lifelong interest in health.
Then, in 2021, questioning stopped being a tendency and became a necessity.
Her husband, Mark, was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma. At the same time, CJ was losing her own breath. Hiking, biking, even stairs became hard, and no test could explain why.
Eventually, she changed the question.
“I stopped asking, ‘What else can we try?’ and started asking, ‘What is the body being asked to handle every single day?’”
Today, Mark is in remission, and CJ is back where she belongs: hiking with her dog, snowboarding, paddleboarding, cross-country skiing and walking for miles simply because she loves to move.
“Aging well isn’t about fighting our bodies or chasing youth. It’s about supporting our body intelligently and consistently.”
Now she helps others explore healthier, more empowered ways to support their bodies as they age, starting with what’s often overlooked: cellular communication and everyday environmental stress.
Her clients call her “The Little General.”
“I have a deep heart for helping, but I’m not one to coddle. I want to push people past excuses.”
For CJ, active participation in her health is what lets her live wild and age well.
“We’re here for such a short time. All living things deserve to be happy, healthy and fueled by adventure.”
